At the Aspen Center, we’re excited to share with you the remarkable work our team performs in the field of pediatric speech therapy. For nearly two decades, we’ve been a huge support for the families of the triangle area, including the greater Cary, NC region. Our goal? To make a tangible difference in the lives of children from infancy through adolescence.

One area we’re passionate about is our Speech Therapy services. Our highly-trained Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are experts at identifying and addressing issues that may hinder a child’s ability to connect with their surroundings through communication.

Our SLPs focus primarily on verbal and non-verbal communication systems. This means they help children who may struggle to express themselves, or understand others, using words or nonverbal cues. This helps children to form their thoughts into words and sentences, enabling them to better communicate with their families, friends, and teachers.

Language development, another critical aspect of our work, covers both expressive and receptive skills. Children learn not just how to convey their thoughts, feelings, and desires but also to understand what is being communicated to them.

Our specialists also delve into speech sound production, guiding children on how to make sounds that form words and sentences. This involves mastering the movements and placements of the tongue, lips, and jaw – known as oral motor development.

Socialization and executive functioning skills also fall within our work. We coach children on how to interact effectively with their peers and navigate social situations. Additionally, we help them develop skills such as problem-solving, organizing, planning, and executing tasks.

Our team at Aspen’s holds a special focus on complex communication conditions such as apraxia, motor planning issues, autism, and language disorders. We also excel in aiding children who may need help with articulation and offer social skills groups. Our goal is to assist your child in developing age-appropriate communication skills that will boost their confidence and independence.

In addition to our in-person sessions in Cary, NC, we also offer teletherapy services, allowing us to extend our reach and support to those who may not be able to visit our clinic. If you have any questions or need more information about our pediatric speech therapy services, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at: https://aspencenter.net. Let’s work together to make communication a joy for your child.
